Supplements to take for Anti-Aging

I have always strongly believed that what we put in our body effects the way we look and feel.Having a healthy diet ,drinking lots of water and taking vitamins and supplements are a great way to get your skin glowing and ultimately feel better.

Why not make a new years resolution to start making more healthy changes? You could be using the best wrinkle cream ,but it will not work if you are eating unhealthy or missing vital vitamins your body need.

So take advantage of those great sales on at the drug store and stock up soon on the ones in this list-

1-Vitamin E-The main thing this vitamin does is protect the skin and other cell structures in your body from free radical damage. Some researchers believe that vitamin E is the most important of all the anti aging antioxidants – the master vitamin.
The vitamin is needed for proper functioning of the immune system and healthy red blood cells it is also proven in studies to help with the arteries, heart, cancer, arthritis, and even reduce cataracts.

Buying a supplement will give you the highest level but also the best food sources are: sunflower seeds (and oil), almonds, olive oil and olives, papaya, avocado and to a lesser degree – spinach and blueberries.(i am sitting here eating sunflower seeds as i type this hahaha)

Also remember a regular multi-vitamin does not contain enough vitamin e,usually only around 30UIs so it is wise to take it seperate at least another 100 to 400IUs per day to get the benefits.

here is a great article you can read to learn more of its anti-aging properties - http://www.anti-aging-guide.com/51vitamin-e.php

2-Selenium-
is one of the most important minerals for your health and for anti aging, sadly the foods we eat do not usually give us enough so taking a supplement is needed especially if you do not eat meat(as i do not )as that is where is mostly found like in fish and red meat.

Benefits of selenium come from the fact that the body uses it to make something called glutathione peroxidase. Glutathione peroxidase is a powerful antioxidant that protects your cells from oxidative stress, and prevents the DNA damage that can cause cancer.
It is recommended that adults take 400UIs per day.

Do you take any vitamins or supplements and why ??

My review of LANCOME Definicils Prescious Cells Mascara

So i always love to try out new mascaras and i have been hearing wonderful things about Lancome ,so it was finally time to see what all the hype was about .So we all want the look of eyelash extensions without actually having to go through the process of getting them right?

This is a Lengthening mascara and contains Swiss apple extract. It helps to condition lashes so they are much stronger and healthier, meaning you have a fuller fringe. And you didn't even have to put on an additional product to get it.So it is not simply just a mascara but is also helping fortify ,so to me its a two in one product.

This is what the packaging and wand  look like- I do like how the wand feels and it gets right into the roots of my lashes quite well.

So here is a picture of my lashes before applying

And here they are after applying 2 coats-

So i must say i really do like this mascara ,it really gives me the length i want ,but it does not do as much for volume. But what i usually look for in a mascara is to lengthen,so it is perfect for me.I also love the fact that it does not CLUMP a major plus indeed. The only thing negative i can say about this is the price, its about $23 or so ,so a bit more, but i try to buy when they have there events and you get lots of freebies at The Bay and Sears counter .

(What i might try next time is just add a coat of another brand of volume adding mascara and i think i will have found the perfect mix .)

Have you tried this mascara yet?? Do you like Lancome products?

Ps are you ready for christmas yet? I still have some things to get i am so last minute hahaa

Stila Cosmetics just in time for the holidays

Since the holiday is just around the corner i would like to mention some great gift ideas for all the lucky ladies on your list.
Lately i have really been loving STILA COSMETICS ,they are popping up everywhere now ,from Sephora to The shopping Channel  or check them out on there site -http://www.stilacosmetics.com/stores.asp

I want to show you just a few of items from them would make the perfect presents.

This color wheel eye shadow palette is so FANTASTIC and only $38.00 for all those colors!! WOW almost seems to good to be true.

What i like about this palette is well it is easy to travel with ,just throw it in your bag and it has endless possible color combos for your eyes and also comes with a brush.
Plus all these shadows can be worn WET or DRY ,do it wet for a more intense look.An extra bonus it also comes with a Look book with 12 different looks you can experiment with.
This is a must buy not just for your friends but grab yourself one too and never get bored with your eye makeup.

I have to say i am a sucker for two in one products and this is one of the best ones out there i have found  ,raspberry crush lip & cheek stain

It really does look good on your cheeks and lips. The reason is it is infused with naturally staining raspberry extracts, this sweetly-scented wonder reacts to your personal pH levels to create your perfect vibrant pink shade every time.It has just a hint that shimmer too that looks amazing this time of year when you have that holiday party to attend. This retails about $24.00 (but is well worth it cause its like your getting two products)

And last but not least JADE BLOSSOM HAIR REFRESHER-

Sometimes i have so much on my agenda the last thing i want to do is worry about washing my hair,so i adore hair refreshers. This one smells heavenly, like fresh flowers. It is an oil-absorbing powder infused with soft fragrance and green tea. As the powder reaches your roots, it adds much-needed volume without weighing hair down.I like to use it in between shampoos to freshen up .Retails about $28.00
Also want to add with this a little goes a long way so one bottle can last at least 6 months.

Have you started your holiday shopping ? Will you being buying beauty products as gifts? Let me know and if you have any other good gift ideas.
