What to save money on and what to spend it on with beauty products

I know i LOVE to save money,but sometimes you just need to spend a bit more to get a quality product that will work . Today i will tell you what to save on and what to spend on with your beauty products.

SAVE YOUR MONEY-

1) CLEANSER -you can pretty much buy the cheaper version or store brand,as long as it is the right kind for your skin type(example if you have dry skin go for a cream and if you have oily go for a gel).
The reason why you don't need to spend a lot on this is because you are just washing it off anyway,as long as it does its job and cleanses the skin ,buy whatever is on SALE :)
I like to buy mine from the discount shelf in superstore,i usually find a great one like half price and truthfully cleanser never really expires.
Personally i am using this one -Clean and Clear morning burst cleanser and it cost about $5.00 and it is working great for me -

2) MASCARA- There are TONS of great mascara you can get for less than $10.00!! Do not waste your money on ones that vibrate or are more than $30.00 they are pretty much the same formula as the cheaper ones . Plus since you have to replace them every 3 months do not spend to much.

Personally i love this L;oreal Double extend -i find putting on the white first helps to thicken and lengthen my lashes ! another tip if you MIX two different kinds they work together to get a better result than just one! TRY it put one coat of one brand and another coat another (doesnt matter what )and see how great it looks!

SPEND YOUR MONEY-

1)Invest in a GOOD anti-aging skin cream usually the ones that cost a bit more do work better as they have more quality ingredients and higher concentrations of them,the super cheap ones are super cheap for a reason they do not work ! Treat yourself to not the most expensive one but not the cheapest either.We all want great looking skin for as long as possible and this is a good way to help maintain.ALWAYS wear it at night too because this is the time our body regenerates and it actually works better . Also a lot of GOOD creams can also be used around the eye area so skip the eye cream and use it for both.
PS-its never to early to start anti-aging,its all about PREVENTING wrinkles,start at about age 25.ITs much easier to PREVENT then deal with it once its there hehehehe

Try this its about $20-30 and you will see good results -

What beauty products to pack when going on vacation???

Hey ladies!! So i booked a fantastic trip to MONTEGO BAY ,JAMAICA! I am super excited and will be leaving in just a few weeks ,so i figured it might be a good idea to figure out what I need to bring with me ,i still want to look nice when i am out on the beach having dinner . So today i will write about the essentials to pack when heading away on a tropical vacation.

*****Also when packing i suggest putting all liquid products in a ZIP LOCK bag so in case they get broken they will not wreck everything in your luggage. Also anything that can shatter like eyeshadow.********

Well we all know the number one thing we better bring is-

1) SUNBLOCK,you can see my past post i did on how safe they are and the ones i recommend-
sun protection. 
.Also i do prefer the OIL FREE ones and it nice to have one you can spray on so its quick and easy .

2) TINTED MOISTURIZER or a LIGHTWEIGHT FOUNDATION and POWDER- The reason i suggest a tinted moisturizer is it is quick to apply and gives you a natural look and helps to hydrate.

3)BLOTTING PAPERS-they help to absorb oil and shine ,read about the ones i like best here-oil blotting papers

4)A good BLUSH/BRONZER in one like- CARGO beach blush

5)EYESHADOW-ITs probably a good idea to bring just one of your fav palettes the colors you like most.(also a waterproof eyeliner may be a good idea if you like to wear it)

6)WATERPROOF MASCARA! -This is a must so your lashes always look great and you dont have raccoon eyes.

 

7)BRUSHES -Bring a few key brushes like blush brush,powder brush and a great shadow brush.

8)FACIAL WIPES or BABY WIPES-Are excellent to wipe off your makeup at the end of the night quickly,cause you don't want to waste anytime on your holiday.

9) Leave in CONDITIONER or a good one you can leave in your hair while at the beach that has a sunscreen in it. We tend to forget our hair gets sun too ,so applying one that protects it is a great idea ,or wear a hat when you can.

10)LIP GLOSS OR BALM with SUNSCREEN- Yes our lips can burn so protect them while making them look nice,this is an ESSENTIAL.

So you want your makeup to be light and simple and fun ,and do not OVERPACK ,bring what you will use and need ,thats it.

One more thing i like to bring some aftersun or ALOE in case of a burn and also bug spray for at night cause you never know .

Well now i have my list made and i can start packing soon!!

Best EYELASH glues :)

Soo when i first started this blog i did a post on good eyelashes to use,but i think also what makes the false eyelashes look good is using the BEST glue!!! I know with the holidays coming and parties you should all rock some hot lashes!!

Why choose a better quality glue? Because then it will be easier to put on,not come off and most important it will not irrate your eyes.

So here are what i think are the  best lash adhesive's -

1) This is the best out there -Duo Eyelash Glue in BLACK-The reason i say pick it in black is because with most eye designs you will have black eyeliner on and this blends flawlessly to achieve a great look!But it also comes in clear,which is a good option for simple looks or if your hand is not to steady.

You can buy this one at MAC and it is also WATERPROOF and is the only brand that attains the medical standard for false eyelash glue.

2) Ardell Waterproof Lash Grip Eyelash Adhesive -You can pick this up at most drug stores and some of the lashes you buy it will come inside the package .This is also WATERPROOF ,it most commonly comes in a clear format .It comes out white but dries as clear which is good.I find this one applies rather nice and dries quickly.I also find that when it is time to take off your lashes this one comes off very easy and does not bother my eyes at all.

 And last but not least a new one i just picked up and have been using is this -

3)Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive-IT cane be picked up at Walmart,it dries clear,is waterproof and latex free and the best thing about it is its MESS FREE! Because it comes with a very thin tipped brush ,all you need to do is brush it on the lashes and your good to go!So for first time users this one is soooo easy to use!!

ZOMBIE MAKEUP, PART ONE -BLOOD :)

So a few friends said they would love to know more about how to do ZOMBIE makeup! Im a huge fan of zombies and will be attending the annual Zombie Walk in Toronto this weekend!! I also love horror movies and anything GORY:)

So this it part one because it is just to much to write in one entry.So today i will talk about BLOOD! Which is essential to have when being a zombie!!!

You can make your own blood which i will give you give you some recipes and tell you the store bought one that i just LOVE! I just recently used it at a photo shoot,and it really looked REAL!!!

You can buy this one at most stores for under $5.00  

Now this blood will most likely stain your clothes so use old clothes and apply it at least 24 hours before so its fully dried when you want to wear it and it does not get on everything else.But when applying it to your face do it right before you go out so it looks fresh!! Unless you are going for the dried up look .

But if you would like to make it yourself try one of these recipes-

Simple Fake Blood

• Clear Corn Syrup
• Red Food Coloring
• Milk - Optional

However much fake blood is how much corn syrup you'll need. Pour it into a bowl and mix in some red food coloring. Add some blue if you like. Adding a small amount of milk will make the blood appear darker and thicker.

or this one -

Realistic Recipe

• 2/3 c. Corn Syrup
• 1/3 c. Warm Water
• 5 Tbsp Corn Starch
• 4 tsp red food coloring
• 1 Tbsp Powdered Cocoa
• 2 drops of green or yellow food coloring

Mix the corn starch with the water in a large mixing bowl. Stir in the corn syrup. Add the food coloring slowly, checking for color.

or even one of these -

Cheap 'N' Easy Blood

This is good for spidering:

• Plain Flour
• Water
• Red Food Coloring
• 1 tsp. of Coffee

Boil the water on the stove, then sieve in the flour, making sure you get ALL of the lumps out. The quantity of ingredients aren't important, it just depends on how much you want. Once you have the flour mixed nicely into the water it should look nice and thick. Next, add the red food coloring.

You will notice that it's a ghastly, bright red colour but don't worry this is why we add the coffee. It is important that when you add the coffee to make sure the mixture is hot, otherwise it wont dissolve, but up until adding the coffee can be done in a ordinary mixing jug or pan.

Palmolive Imitation Blood

You can also make fake blood with Palmolive dish soap, (it doesn't matter how much you put in) it depends on how much blood you want! Add red berry powdered Kool-Aid!

Ok now that we have the blood covered ,in my next blog i will go over how to apply it and how to to the face makeup !!!

I have to say its damn amazing lip balm!! My fav so far,it has a great taste(orange) and texture and glides on so easy ,but yet its not sticky. I like to apply it to my models before i use lipstick so the lips are hydrated.

If you care about what you put into your body and on your skin this is an amazing organic line to give a try.They also carry a baby products line.

Ok on to the review of ELF EYELASHES which are only a $1.00!!I got them in black.

 Now i would say for the price they are pretty good.I would advise to not use the glue they come with but to purchase your own, LASH DUO works great. I trimmed mine a bit to suit my eye better ,but they stayed on all day and looked pretty good.I used them for a photoshoot i did (yes i model too as well as as being a Makeup Artist)Here have a look at this picture im wearing them
