Ok ladies face it we have all had to deal with ingrowns and the worst for me is in the bikini area!! Soo how do we prevent and deal with them ??
Well first off let me explain what exactly they are first ,it's a condition where the hair curls back or grows sideways into the skin.It may or may not be accompanied by an infection of the hair follicle or "razor bumps",you know those nasty red ,itchy bumps!!
Well first off let me tell you some good easy ways to prevent them .First i think one of the easy things that most people don't take the time to do or jus plain forget,is to EXFOLLIATE! Its not just great for your face but your whole damn body! You should do this about 2-3 times a week if possible and could even make your own at home if u run out!
What exfolliating does is get rid of any dead skin that could block the new hair from coming up,it also gives the skin a nice glow and softness!
Here are a few scrubs that i enjoy from some of my fav companies i want to share with you,
This is from www.lush.ca ,i love this one ,its natural and full or sea salt and i like the bottle it comes in soo handy for the shower!
This one is also amazing and its on sale now for only $15!! Wow and it smells soo yummy and is organic!
Okay soo back to what to do if you already have them???Well once there there you can try to put a hot cloth on them to calm them down and soften them and force the hair out,use a good pair of slant tweezers and gently get it out. If you can't see the hair and its just to hard to get out,try some of these products which i have used and can work quite well
I do have to tell you it does sting when applied ,but if it prevents those nasty bumps im all for it!!
Ohh also if you cant afford this stuff you can make your own at home with this simple recipe!
What you need:Uncoated aspirin
70% alcohol
Witch Hazel
A measuring cup/bottle
2 bottles used to shake mixtures
1 8oz or more bottle/container to keep finished product
What you do:
1. Pour 5.5oz of 70% alcohol into one bottle.
2. Drop 18 uncoated aspirins into the alcohol. Cap bottle and shake.
3. Pour 2.5oz of witch hazel into the second bottle.
4. Drop 8 uncoated aspirins into the witch hazel. Cap bottle and shake.
5. Wait awhile (30 minutes to a whole day) for the aspirins to dissolve in the liquids. Shake periodically to help dissolve aspirin and mix. NOTE: not all of the aspirin will dissolve. That’s ok- some of it never will.
6. Now combine both the alcohol and witch hazel mixtures together into one bottle. Make sure you shake it up before you pour them out so you also get the aspirin residue into the new bottle.
This last bottle is your Tendskin! Use 1-2 a day. Reduce usage if you experience dryness or flaking or irritation. DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC
TO ASPIRIN. Make sure you shake it well before each use.
