Do you hate canker sores??Read how to get rid of them and avoid them

So yesterday i woke up with an annoying canker sore!!
I hate them ,must be all the orange juice i have been drinking lately. Then i remembered a free sample i had lying around that was suppose to get rid of them.I was about to try it and see if it does what it says it is suppose to do.
Im sure none of you even knew there was anything you could do to get rid of them quickly. So here is my review of Canker cover http://www.cankercover.com/

Well first off i like that they are ALL NATURAL the main ingredients are menthol and citrus oil.
Here is what the website says about them-
- Just one patch fully treats most canker sores
- Immediate Pain Relief
- Protects the sore - stops pain from food, drink and irritants
- Sticks to any canker sore and becomes a clear gel patch
- Stays on comfortably for 8 to 12 hours, then dissolves
- Won't come off while eating
- Freshens breath

So i followed the instructions.I dried the area and applied the patch. It did feel a little wierd at first having something in my mouth.I put it on before i went to bed.But within a few minutes is started to feel better like it didnt ache as much ,it just felt more comfortable.
It lasted all night and when i woke up there was like a gel residue on it and i just wiped it off and it totally felt better and looked better. It was not fully gone but i would say half gone,so it totally helped.
I would recommend these to people who get cankers a lot ,they truly help ease the burden.

here are some tips on how to avoid them in the first place -

1-Avoid toothpaste that contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate because it has been implicated in aggravating canker sores.Try Sensodyne i hear it does not contain it the one in the blue box,not green.(just check to make sure)

2-Try not to eat so many acidic fruits or drink as many sodas or fruit juices

I also heard that Salt water is another remedy you can use. Mix 2 tablespoons of salt in a 6 ounce glass of warm water and use as a mouth rinse 3-4 times a day. Salt helps draw fluid from the canker and help it to heal.

How often do you get cankers??

  1. Really cool idea for a blog. Never seen anyone else do this. I will be subscribing for sure.
If you get a chance, please check out my blog. I just posted my second 'Dare to Wear' challenge. I am daring my subscribers to recreate a look from the Spring 2009 Dior Couture show (pics posted on my blog).
I have monthly giveaways and will soon be posting my giveaway for September. Finally, I am 12 subscribers away from my 300 subscribers giveaway of an Urban Decay 'Naked Palette' and some other goodies.

  2. I have actually tried this product. It does feel awkward to have this product in your mouth and I must admit I didn't leave it in for as long as I should have so I didn't get the results I was hoping for. It is very important to have the area in the mouth where the patch is to be applied be as dry as possible. It will not adhere otherwise.
